I’m A Celeb’s Adele Roberts transformation from Big Brother to now

Adele Roberts has made quite the career circle over the past two decades.

Starting out in reality TV way back in 2002, she first had a taste of fame when the show was at the height of it's popularity.

She spent 43 days hanging out with Alison Hammond, Jade Goody and eventual winner Kate Lawler in series three of Big Brother.

But now having earned herself a spot as a bonafide celebrity DJ after staying in the limelight, Adele, originally from Southport, is appearing in I'm A Celeb.

Since her BB stint as a 23-year-old from Southport, Adele, now 40, has moved on from reality stars to hanging out with actual royalty.

After going back to her roots as a DJ, Adele made enough waves to bag herself a slot at BBC Radio 1 on the Early Breakfast Show and has even had a special visit from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

She's presented some of the biggest sporting highlights for the broadcaster including the FA People’s Cup and coverage of the London Marathon – as well as taking part twice.

Adele lasted a total of 43 days in the BB house giving herself a bit of a head start competing against her fellow jungle campmates, who will be cooped up in their new jungle home.

Although she recently admitted that while she might be used to the lack of sleep, she might not be used to open-air camping.

"I’ve only camped once and that was the worst night of my life,” she revealed.

"I hate spiders. If I see one, I can’t speak, I freeze and I do this weird thing where I wring my hands together!"

Adele is hoping that her stint on IAC will be much different to BB, as she admitted she regrets how she acted.

Opening up about a row she had with fellow housemate Jade, who sadly passed away in 2009 of cervical cancer, Adele said she still feels guilty about their argument over verrucas.

"Looking back, I carried a lot of guilt about the way I acted in Big Brother and I feel like I let myself down and I could have been a much nicer person," she began.

"I’d like to show a better side to myself this time. To both the campmates in there by treating them better but also to come out and have a positive experience not a negative one.

"I just think I judged people when I shouldn’t have, I should have tried to get to know them a bit more and I think I probably hurt people when I didn’t realise when I was in there."

Adele looks very different to her BB3 days and no longer sports the long braids she wore, opting for a cropped straight style that will hold up in the jungle.

The radio host also enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and likes her food, admitting that if she's hungry she will most definitely cry.

Alongside her girlfriend Kate Holderness, she hosts a YouTube series called Friday Night Takeaway, where they make healthy food which tastes like takeaway.

Kate will also be looking after Adele's social media accounts while she's away.
