EastEnders star Tameka Empson will be waving goodbye to Walford as she takes a break from the soap.
Tameka has spent a number of years in Albert Square as Denise Fox’s half-sister Kim Fox-Hubbard – a character who has seen her fair share of drama.
Metro Online can confirm the actress will step out of the spotlight, but she will be returning to EastEnders after a break.
While the exact length of this break is as-yet undetermined, Kim’s due to be back on our screens later this year.
How will Kim Fox-Hubbard leave EastEnders?
Kim’s exit is due to play out in upcoming episodes when she’ll reveal that she’s been offered a new job in Scotland.
Kim and her sister recently opened salon Fox & Hair together. Although the business was successful at first, the pair soon started bickering over their new business.
Could this have something to do with her leaving Walford?
Tameka has played the feisty Kim for a decade and has taken centre stage in a number of dramatic storylines.
In recent years, Kim has given birth to a daughter Pearl during the live episodes which celebrated EastEnders’ 30th anniversary.
She was later forced to deal with her husband Vincent Hubbard’s mysterious disappearance.
