Jennifer Aniston's ex husband Justin Theroux tells her 'I love you' as he wishes her happy 52nd birthday

JENNIFER Aniston's ex husband Justin Theroux told her "I love you" as he wished her a happy birthday.

His sweet gesture came despite the pair's split in 2017.

The Leftovers star had a sweet message for his former spouse as he marked her 52nd birthday on Instagram.

Jennifer was tagged in a black and white photo of her standing on a spiral staircase surrounded by mirrors, with her ex writing at the bottom: "(love) you B!"

Justin recently opened up about their "heartbreaking" divorce and how the pair had managed to stay friends.

He said: "The good news is, that was probably the most – I'm choosing my words here carefully – it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity.

"Again, neither one of us is dead. Neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It's more like, it's amicable. It's boring, but, you know, we respected each other that it was as painless as it could be."

While Jennifer is currently single, she has always maintained she wanted children one day.

And last year she confirmed she sees children running around in the future, in a "joyous snapshot" in her mind's eye.

The Friends actress said: "It's more like a little screenshot in my brain, where I hear the ocean, I see the ocean, I hear laughter, I see kids running, I hear ice in a glass, I smell food being cooked".

Since Friends, Jennifer has gone on to become one of Hollywood's most bankable stars, with a string of movie hits including, Marley & Me, Horrible Bosses, We're The Millers and Just Go With It.

She now commands up to £8million per film and feels her age has not hindered her career.

While she has not been lucky in love, there is no denying she still has sex appeal after appearing on the cover of InStyle magazine last year wearing hotpants and thigh-high boots.

She said: "Well, it's hard work, you know. You work out, you just take care of yourself and you exercise, you eat right, you sleep, you're happy. Happiness is the big key …

"My life is a happy life. It's a choice."

But there is one part of her body she finds hardest to keep in check — admitting: "My butt! It just has a tendency to go right and left and I'd like it to go up!"
