Line of Duty viewers have been suspicious of newcomer Chloe Bishop for weeks after she joined AC-12 as the new Kate Fleming.
Chloe has been seen doing a lot of the leg work for Steve Arnott's investigations, with fans being impressed with her policing skills – but others have noticed some very shady moments.
In the sixth episode, Chloe was seen apologising to Steve as she took down the picture of top boss Philip Osborne off their suspect list and shredding it, before furtively looking at a watching Carmichael.
Fans have now become convinced that Chloe has been working undercover for Carmichael, and she is actually part of an AC-3 investigation into Steve and Ted Hastings.
One posted on social media: "Prediction for tonight.
"Chloe is working undercover for Carmichael and AC-3!!! Did we all see the glance between them last week. Chloe saying is the leak from AC-12 in relation to Lakewell’s death. Chloe’s state when Steve and Kate were checking out Ryan.
"Probably explains Chloe being a very good anti corruption officer as well, with no prior obvious background to the team.
"If so, this means Chloe and Carmichael know about Steve looking into Steph corbetts finances, and would explain why Carmichael just doesn’t trust Ted still."
One fan agreed: "I think Carmichael wants to make sure Ted leaves, so she can take over."
Another chipped in: "Yes Carmichael wants teds job , can’t stand her character."
A third said: "And chloe destroyed osbournes photo in shredder a bit weird."
Meanwhile, it looks like the mysterious H is finally going to be revealed tonight as the sixth series is coming to a dramatic head.
Viewers have been speculating about who the final fourth corrupt senior officer could be, with people such as Marcus Thurwell, Osborne and Carmichael being put into the mix.
Dot Cottan, Gill Bigeloe, and Derek Hilton have already been exposed over the years, so it all comes down to the final corrupt officer in the force.

Carmichael is the top suspect at the moment, as she was seen shutting down Ted's line of questioning about H during Jo Davidson's interview.
She was also seen tapping her phone on the table, which fans noticed spelt out H in Morse code, which could a huge hint.
