The latest season of Little People, Big World may be over, but there’s still plenty of drama surrounding the Roloff family. When the show first began, Matt and Amy Roloff were happily married, running Roloff Farms together, and raising their four kids — but a lot has changed since then. While Matt and Amy seemed to have an amicable divorce, bitter truths came out on the show and in Amy’s recent memoir, A Little Me.
Amy was so candid in her book that many suspected she may have created a serious rift between her and her kids. Are the other Roloffs actually upset with Amy for what she wrote? According to recent Instagram posts, it seems the drama may be blown out of proportion.
Amy Roloff’s new memoir includes scathing accusations against ex-husband Matt
Those who watched Little People, Big World know how uncomfortable Amy acts around Caryn Chandler, Matt Roloff’s current girlfriend — and thanks to Amy’s memoir, we got some back story as to where the discomfort came from. Radar Online notes Amy claimed Matt and Caryn were having an inappropriate relationship while she was still married to Matt. “I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. I was devastated,” Amy wrote.
Not only that, but Amy also wrote about Matt’s domineering personality that none of us saw on the show. She claimed Matt would get “upset” if she was the one talking to the producers of the show instead of him. “He may not have meant or realized how his words, businesslike attitude, and lack of compassion affected our relationship and me. But they did,” Radar Online notes she added.
None of her kids promoted her book on social media
Amy plugged her own book on Instagram for weeks leading up to its release. Oddly enough, it seems she may have been the only one of the Roloffs to mention she had a new book coming out. Even stranger, Amy has promoted Jeremy and Audrey Roloff’s memoir, A Love Letter Life, on her Instagram when their book released, so many were surprised to see the couple wouldn’t do the same for her.
Jacob Roloff, the black sheep of the family who’s also produced his own books, has also been radio silent on Amy’s memoir. Jacob famously left LPBW after criticizing the show for turning his family into “characters,” and he’s been unafraid to share his true feelings about reality TV. Not only that, but there have also been plenty of rumors that he doesn’t see eye-to-eye with Matt Roloff, so many thought he might promote Amy’s book for her speaking her truth against his father. Jacob hasn’t shown any support on social media for A Little Me, however — and he’s even since been featured on Matt’s Instagram, so perhaps the alleged feud between the father and son was never that bad to begin with.
Amy’s recent posts seem to prove there’s no family rift
While the Roloffs may not love that Amy came forward with such serious allegations in her memoir, it seems there may not be much of a rift between them after all. Recently, the mom of four posted photos of her at the Little People of America National Conference to Instagram — and she noted in the caption that she was hanging out with her son, Zach, and his wife, Tori, there as well. Not only that, Jacob Roloff’s soon-to-be wife, Isabel Rock, also invited Amy to her bachelorette party, and the mother-of-the-groom hung out with Audrey Roloff and seemed to have a blast.
Amy’s children may not necessarily agree with what their mother wrote about their father, but they’re a tight-knit group, and we doubt anything could truly come between them. As for what Matt thinks, he has yet to really make any comment and insists he’s busy “taking the high road” instead.
