Locke and Key season two is airing on Netflix now and viewers were keen to find out what was in store for the three Locke siblings. Dodge (played by Laysla De Oliveira) was once again the main antagonist of the new season, but new threats came to light as the series progressed. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what happened at the end of the second adventure.

What happened at the end of Locke and Key season 2?

The final episode of season two kicked off with the ultimate battle everyone had been waiting for.

In the first season, Dodge had disguised themselves as Gabe (Griffin Gluck) and he ended up in a showdown with the Locke siblings.

Dodge had kidnapped the siblings’ uncle Duncan (Aaron Ashmore) and forced him to make a key that would turn residents into malicious servants.

Tyler’s (Connor Jessup) girlfriend Jackie (Genevieve Kang) sadly suffered this terrible fate and Tyler was determined to find a solution.

He and Duncan were able to forge a key that could reverse the magic, but it would cost the life of the person it was used on.

Fans were heartbroken when the real Jackie died in his arms, and Tyler was full of resentment for Gabe.

Meanwhile, Gabe had developed feelings for Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and she used this to her advantage to make him think she had succumbed to his power.

She managed to claim back the Crown of Shadows, setting Gabe back a few steps in his plan.

The fight was not over as Gabe’s minions were still attacking Duncan and the siblings, but Duncan came across a revelation.

As he created the demon key, he was able to command anyone under its spell and he ended up turning the possessed residents on Gabe.

After Gabe turned back into Dodge, he sabotaged the house by using the plant key to create a landslide.

Tyler showed up at the last minute to use the alpha key on Dodge, expelling the demon once and for all.

As the siblings looked down at the wreckage of the house, they noticed Lucas (Felix Mallard) emerge and they were shocked he had survived.

As he is not a real human, he could not be killed in the same way Jackie could when she was under the spell.

There was more good news as the group discovered Ellie (Sherri Saum) was also alive and well.

The end of the episode was full of emotional moments as Tyler left for university, choosing to forget all the magical happenings from the past year.

Just as fans thought the series would end on a happy note, they realised Eden (Hallea Jones) was still in the picture.

Eden summoned the spirit of Frederick Gideon, the evil British Empire soldier who had discovered the Black Door.

She is likely to become an antagonist in the third season, although Gideon has already proven the extent of his power.

He is not willing to bow down to Eden and casts her aside as if she was nothing.

Now his whereabouts are unknown, fans will be on the edge of their seats as he plans his next move.

He is expected to become a series regular in season three and is likely to be the main villain of the new episodes.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the second season.

Episode three was a particular talking point as it featured terrifying spiders that left viewers squirming.
