Love Island viewers have been left furious by Brad McClelland after he left Rachel Finni in tears as he attempted to crack on with the villa's latest bombshell arrivals.

The 26 year old was saved by Rachel, 29, in tense scenes on Monday night when she chose to send Chuggs Wallis, 23, home.

But just 24 hours later, Brad had taken a U-turn on his claims that Rachel's "dark hair and dark features" were his type, and instead admitted he was setting his sights on Lucinda Strafford.

Lucinda, 21, entered the villa during Tuesday night's episode alongside Millie Court, sending shockwaves amongst the girls.

The blonde bombshells arrived while the rest of the girls were out for brunch, sending a selfie of them cosied up to the boys.

Taking a look at the selfie, Rachel noticed how close Brad and Lucinda looked, telling the fellow girls: "Look how happy he is.

"Can we go back now? I feel like I've got some things to do."

Upon their entrance, the new girls asked the boys who was settled in their couples, to which Brad quickly answered: "I'm not."

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Brad said: "Both lasses are both stunning but, my days, that Lucinda is…," before taking a deep breath.

Before entering the villa, Lucinda revealed his feelings were reciprocated, admitting: "I really fancy Brad.

"I feel like Brad probably doesn't like people as much as he's letting on.

"I'm a relationship kind of girl. The timing is right and I want to have some fun."

Viewers flocked to Twitter to react to the unfolding events, with former Love Island winner Amber Rose Gill writing: "What does Brad mean 'Oh my god'… I thought Rachel was your type."

One fan penned: "BRAD IS SUCH A SNAKE. He reuses the same line for every single girl."

A second wrote: "I knew Brad would jump ship but I didn't think he'd do it like this. Shameless."

Whilst a third viewer chimed: "Brad used her and I can't tell you how scary this is because he actually stopped being incoherent for 24 hours for his stay on the island. Man mumbles to stop women he don't like chatting to him."

Love Island continues Wednesday at 10pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
