One Love Island couple to be voted off in savage unexpected elimination

The Islanders are rolling with the punches at this stage of the series, as each episode comes with a fresh batch of drama.

But the Love Island contestants are in for an extra-nasty surprise on tonight’s episode, which will see one couple dumped from the villa.

At the end of Wednesday night’s show, viewers were given the opportunity to vote to save their favourite couple.

And, with only one vote per caller, the stakes are high for each and every pairing on the series.

As it stands, eight couples remain – though not for long.

News of the dumping followed a particularly-tense episode, which saw the Islanders discover exactly what viewers had said about them.

Delivering some brutal home truths, several couples were left on the rocks after hearing the savage tweets.

Though they previously seemed a sure bet, Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart were shocked to hear that certain people felt they had no real chemistry.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury saw their relationship tested when it was said that the blonde bombshell was “only in it for the £50,000”.

His name dragged in the dirt once again, the boxer was gobsmacked to hear that viewers also thought that he harboured a secret crush on Lucie Donlan.

Later pulling the Cornish beauty to the side, he asked whether they should tone down their friendship in case it gave others the wrong idea.

On top of that, Tom Walker dropped a bombshell when he let on that he was having doubts about ring girl Maura Higgins.

Speaking in private, he admitted that the fact that she wasn’t much of a gym-bunny was a let-down, and labelled her “attention-seeking”.

Only time will tell which couple will get the chop – switch on to Love Island at 9 pm on ITV2 to find out for yourself.
