PETER Andre's fans have come to the defence of his wife Emily MacDonagh after she was targeted by a cruel troll.
Yesterday, Peter, 47, proudly announced to his 1.6million Instagram followers that his doctor wife, 31, finally joined the social media platform.
Emily racked up tens of thousands of followers in minutes as fans flocked to welcome her to the photo-sharing site.
Going by Dr Emily, her Instagram bio read: "Mum of 2. NHS Doctor. Charity Ambassador for Caudwell Children. OK Magazine Health and Parenting Columnist."
However, a troll took umbrage to how Emily described herself as a "mum of 2", despite also being a stepmother to Peter's children Junior and Princess from his relationship to Katie Price.
The nasty troll penned under her latest post in collaboration with the British Red Cross: "You are not a mum of 2 but of 4" suggesting she include her stepchildren in her bio.
Despite the thorny comment, a fan rushed to her defence and penned: "Awe lovely to see your smiling face Emily, hope you enjoy the experience of Instagram and remember there will always be keyboard warriors with lots of nasty things to say…
"My advice rise above and keep smiling" (sic).
Another commented: "So good to see you here…I’m sure you will make a really positive impact on IG".
"Your amazing absolutely love you Emily. Such a strong woman," a new follower penned. "Your an inspiration ❤️".
The commentary comes two days after Emily joined Instagram, much to husband Peter's delight.
Her first post is a stunning outdoor snap of herself in a pretty blue dress with off-the-shoulder detailing.
Introducing followers to her page, Emily wrote in the caption: "I’ve finally taken the plunge! Follow for health, medical and parenting chat 👩🏼⚕️".
She then posted a video she'd made earlier in the year for British Red Cross that offered first aid tips for children.
Emily's two step-children, 15-year-old Junior and 13-year-old Princess, were among the thousands to follow the account this evening – with Princess also posting a link on her own page.
Emily is mum to six-year-old Amelia and three-year-old Theo, who she shares with Peter.
The NHS hero has always been incredibly private since marrying Pete in 2015, but has recently delighted fans by opening up more about their home life.
She and the children star alongside Peter in their reality series Life With The Andres, exclusive to The Sun's YouTube channel.
Emily has also used her medical expertise to speak out on the coronavirus pandemic in recent months, offering expert guidance and advice in TV and magazine interviews.
