Piers Morgan has interviewed a host of famous faces for ITV’s Life Stories including Sir Cliff Richard, Alan Sugar and Caitlyn Jenner. However, the former Good Morning Britain host is set to film one of his hardest grillings to date as he sits down with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer as part of a special one-hour episode of his ITV talk show.
The special will be filmed next week and will see the Labour leader open up to Morgan.
Starmer’s interview will cover his childhood, his law career as well as the past year of leading the opposition in lockdown.
Sharing the news with his Twitter followers, Morgan wrote: “@Keir_Starmer has agreed to appear on my Life Stories show.
“We’re doing the interview, next week, and it will air soon afterwards.

“Party leaders rarely submit themselves to such lengthy personal interviews so it should be a fascinating encounter.”
Fans of the former GMB host were divided over whether the interview would be a good or bad idea for the Labour leader.
One wrote: “Clearly hoping it’ll make people like him, but the man has no personality whatsoever, I’d rather watch paint dry!”
“Things can’t exactly get worse for him politically, so anything is worth a try,” another said.
Someone else shared: “WOW Piers, well done you! Respect to Keir for this too, not many would do this. Looking forward to it.”
A fourth added: “Have you got any sensible questions to ask? No doubt it will be about lockdown and a bit of Boris bashing.”
“Can you push him off that fence he’s sitting on & ask him what are labour’s actual policies now because frankly most of us don’t see any,” a fifth tweeted.
“Looking forward to seeing this interview with Keir. Interesting to hear more about himself and his life,” another remarked.

After the announcement, Morgan commented: “It’s very unusual for party political leaders to submit themselves to such lengthy personal interviews and I am delighted that Sir Keir has agreed to talk to me about his fascinating life.
“It promises to be a memorable and very revealing Life Stories show.”
ITV’s head of entertainment, Katie Rawcliffe added: “[It] promises to be a real treat for our ITV audience.”
The broadcaster has yet to confirm when this episode of Life Stories will air but it’s likely to be in the next few months.
The leader of the opposition’s interview will be the first time Morgan has filmed an episode of his talk show Life Stories since he quit GMB.
Morgan walked off the ITV show after being confronted by weather presenter Alex Beresford over his comments on Meghan Markle.
This was the last time the controversial presenter appeared on the show and it was revealed he decided to quit after refusing to apologise for his comments.
Piers Morgan’s Life Stories returns to ITV later this year.
