Power Book III: Raising Kanan: Starz releases trailer
Viewers have singled out chatty basketball star Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Cross (played by Daniel Bellomy) as the most likely candidate to bust Tariq St. Patrick’s (Michael Rainey Jr.) campus drug dealing wide open in the next season of Power Book II: Ghost. But could his big mouth put other students at risk of being caught in the crossfire when the Starz series continues?
Stansfield student Zeke Cross could unleash chaos on campus if he leaks what he knows about Tariq’s partnership with Monet Tejada (Mary J. Blige) to the wrong person.
Throughout the first season, Zeke has been in a secretive relationship with English professor Carrie Milgram (Melanie Liburd).
Her ex-boyfriend, Jabari Reynolds (Justin Marcel McManus), has already been taken out after threatening to expose what he knows about Tariq’s drug dealing.
However, Carrie herself may know more than she’s letting on thanks to Zeke’s reputation for gossiping, and may have inadvertently sealed the next big death in the series.

Fans have suggested Monet will eventually catch wind that one of Stansfield’s top basketball players has been spreading word about her deal with Tariq around campus.
However, if her information is incomplete, she may task one of her sons, Cane (Woody McClain) or Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray) to take out the wrong aspiring NBA star.
User joeyv223 kicked off the discussion on Reddit and said: “Why do I have the feeling that something is gonna happen to Zeke?
“I don’t know, either he dies or something happens to his NBA career. I like the character but his whole plot seems too innocent and easy, like I feel the writers are gonna kill him off.”
Zeke has already put a target on his own head in the first season, which could have dire consequences in Book II’s confirmed follow-up.
His refusal to complete his class assignments forced the university to threaten Tariq’s expulsion if he didn’t step in to protect his place as one of Stansfield’s best athletes.
Even so, his talkative nature could put other students in danger, specifically his fellow basketball star, Everett (Bradley Gibson).
If Zeke blabbers too much to Professor Milgram, the resulting rumours could force Monet to take action, even if her sources haven’t provided the whole picture.

Another fan commented: “Zeke is gonna f**k up letting Carrie know too much info and it will end in one or two ways.”
One of which was: “Everett gets killed because word gets out a basketball player was the one talking about the Tejadas but it was Zeke talking out of his neck.”
They also suggested: “Monet kills Carrie for putting together the family criminal activities and Tariq killing Jabari.”
Either way, Zeke letting his roommate’s secrets slip is bound to have dire consequences for Tariq’s campus life in the upcoming season.
This fan made a convincing argument for the events to end in tragedy, with the innocent Everett potentially getting caught in the crossfire.
Everett’s death could threaten to tear the Tejada operation apart, as Monet’s son Dru had started dating the promising basketball player in the first season.
Aspiring artist Dru has been looking for a way to escape his mother’s control, and her part in his love interest’s wrongful death could finally give him the impetus he needs to finally leave the drug scene behind.
Power Book II: Ghost is available to watch on Starz and Starzplay.
