BBC drama Casualty saw one long-standing cast member stepping away from the show. Henderson has been part of the long-running series since 2013. She also made several appearances in Casualty’s sister show Holby City over the years.
Why did Robyn Miller leave Casualty?
Henderson played Robyn Miller for 10 years on Casualty before she was killed off recently.
In the most recent episode, which aired on Saturday (March 18), Robyn’s fate was confirmed after she died.
Robyn was involved in a car accident, which caused horrific injuries, just as a major incident occurred.
The tragedy came as Robyn was getting ready to depart the hospital and move to Wigan with her family.
Robyn had to wait a long while before she was finally treated by the medical staff due to the major incident.
Holby City’s Sacha Levy (Bob Barrett) tried to save Robyn, confident he would be able to preserve the nurse’s life.
But sadly it wasn’t to be as Sacha was unable to stop a bleed and she died on the operating table.
Before her untimely demise, Robyn was asked to work overtime and faced criticism from Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) for not following instructions.

The major incident also saw her leaving do interrupted with all hands on deck to deal with injured people getting rushed in ED.
Unsurprisingly, Jacob was blamed by his colleagues for Robyn’s death as he’d kept her on longer than her shift.
Jacob’s guilt over Robyn’s death is likely to carry on through the show as well as his colleagues blaming him.
Actress Henderson paid tribute to her character on Instagram. She shared a snap with her 27,000 followers of a clapperboard, which featured a photo of Robyn, alongside Jason Durr as David Hide and Shaheen Jafargholi as Marty Kirby.
The two actors also left the show at the same time as Henderson
The clapperboard also said: “End of an era!” in reference to Robyn’s exit, along with a caption which read: “10 years of you Robyn! It’s been a pleasure.”
She later shared a sweet video montage of images from her time on Casualty with various cast members.
Henderson said: “Thank you Casualty And the wonderful cast and crew.
