SEAL Team season five may have kicked off on CBS but it won’t be ending there. The action-filled series made the move to Paramount Plus after episode four so now fans of the show will have to become subscribers in order to watch the rest of the season. Given the series four cliffhanger, fans will want to get onto the streaming service to find out what happens next.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from SEAL Team.

What happened to Mandy Ellis?

Mandy Ellis (played by Jessica Pare) was the Clandestine Operations Officer who was acting as a CIA liaison with the Bravo Team.

But in season three, she was demoted to an interrogator and this led to her decision to leave the service behind.

Mandy told Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) she would be going at the start of season four and hadn’t been seen in the drama since.

However, the latest mission in series five does involve Mandy and could mean she is in danger.

After a terrorist attack in West Africa, it is up to Bravo Team to take out three targets who are considered the masterminds.

During their search, Jason came across a picture of Mandy and realise she was being held hostage by the terrorist organisation SGS.

Jason was desperate to track down his friend as well as confused by what she was doing in West Africa in the first place, seeing that she said she had retired from the service.

By the end of episode five, Jason is still none the wiser but still determined to find Mandy.

Is she returning to SEAL Team?

As of yet, there is no confirmation actress Jessica Pare is reprising her role as Mandy.

She left in the first episode of SEAL Team which aired in December last year so she hasn’t been away from the drama for very long.

But as her character walked away from Bravo rather than being killed off, there was always a chance she might make a comeback.

Her potential return was even teased when she left the series in 2020.

In a statement, showrunner Spencer Hudnut said: “Over the last three seasons, we’ve seen how war takes a toll not just physically but mentally and emotionally.

“For Mandy’s story arc, it was finally time for her to retire and leave this life of service, but this does not mean we won’t potentially see her again later.”

The fact the latest storyline revolves around her as well does indicate an appearance is on the cards.

So it could be more of a question of when rather than of if Mandy will be in SEAL Team season five.

SEAL Team will be back for episode six in its new Sunday slot on November 7 on Paramount Plus.

The episode is called Man on Fire and the synopsis reads: “In the final part of a thrilling three-episode arc, Bravo manages to escape their SUV engulfed in flames, but plans go awry when Jason’s personal and professional lives become intertwined and he’s forced to make decisions that put Bravo’s jobs and lives at risk.

“The team works through disagreements, reveals exciting personal news and an unlikely hero emerges.”

SEAL Team is available to watch on Paramount Plus.
