Things took a surprising turn during the final of Strictly Come Dancing after Olly Alexander announced that he will be representing the UK in Eurovision 2024.
The 33-year-old appeared on the BBC show to read out the terms and conditions for viewers who wish to vote for their Stirctly winner. But not long after, Olly shared his big news with those in these studio and viewers at home.
Kickstarting the conversation, Claudia said: "Now Olly, you have some news for us! And if it's alright with you, can we have a drum roll please."
Olly said: "I do Clauida, yes I can exclusively reveal, I will be representing the UK at the Eurovision song contest next year!" Once he revealed his big news, Olly was celebrated as roars of cheers could be heard by Strictly contestants and those in the audience.
