Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley perform the Quickstep
Strictly Come Dancing Pro Lauren Oakey has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter to share her feelings after taking to the dancefloor with partner Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
The duo sent the audience and fans at home wild as they danced the quickstep to the classic Frank Sinatra song, The Lady Is A Tramp.
Lauren posted to her 6,997 followers: “For those asking – I gave @krishgm complete creative licence at the end of the QS last night. I said to him earlier in the week ‘I want you to finish this as you, & have fun’, and honestly he didn’t disappoint. You couldn’t see it on screen.” (sic)
Before going on to post another message writing: “But the audience were on their feet before the dance finished and I had to hold back a little tear after a nervy day, that was the BEST he danced it!
“And the ending, well, he was just spectacular! Thank you all for your wonderful words of support.”

Fans were quick to respond with one writing: “I was beaming throughout your quickstep. Such a great pairing and I can’t wait to see what you do next. It’s a real skill to to teach the technical stuff and hone a performance whilst still allowing the student to shine as themselves. Well done. #strictly @bbcstrictly.”
A second commented: “You two bring so much joy each week! Keep smashing it and making us all smile.”
A third added: “What was a great dance and what a beautiful dress you were wearing, the colour was stunning. Krishnan is everything the competition should be about and I wish the two of you all the very best for the remaining weeks.”
And a fourth also admitted they were in tears as they wrote: “I’m not knowledgeable about dance – I “judge” the dances based on how they make me feel, no idea if feet are in the right place – you two make me smile and cry every week! Best of luck to my favourite couple!”

Following their performance, the studio audience was seen giving a standing ovation, including Krishnan’s wife Jasmine and son Jay, 16.
Jay was mentioned again as Krishnan, 53, spoke to host Claudia Winkleman who was wearing a white T-shirt with the words “Hello Jay!” Emblazoned across the front.
Claudia then joked, “Jay is Krishan’s son and he said he’d never come, but here he is!” The camera then panned who Jay who was seen cringing at the extra attention.
The judges were also impressed by the couple’s performance as they gave them a score of 30 points, which is his highest ever score.
Krishnan also took to X immediately after the dance posting: “That. Was. The. Best. Fun. Ever. #strictly”
One fan wrote: “You’re a joy to watch!” Whilst another added: Indeed. It. Was.”
And third then joined in saying: “Love, love, loved it! Raising the game each week. Go you!” Whilst a fourth fan commented: “It’s such a joy seeing you having the best fun ever. Thank you, and long may it continue!”
