The Chase fans stunned as they spot contestants' connection to Royal Family – but did you notice it?

THE Chase fans were left in hysterics when they spotted a surprising connection with the Royal Family on the panel.

ITV viewers did a double take on Tuesday's episode when contestants Archie, George, Louis and Charlotte took on Chaser Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty.

But eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out that the players names were the same as the Queen's great-grandchildren.

Archie is the son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

While George, Charlotte and Louis are the children of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Host Bradley Walsh also cottoned on as he chatted to contestant George, who was the first up to face the Chaser.

The quiz genius said: "You haven’t worked out what all these people have in common, have you?"

"Oh have I done it again?," Anne said before reeling off the names.

"Think about Prince Charles," the Chaser added.

The penny finally dropped, with Bradley replying: "Archie, Louis, Charlotte and George, the kids. Harry’s lad, then Louis, Charlotte and George, William’s kids."

The panel consisted of paralegal from Exeter, Charlotte, retired engraver Archie, scaffolder George and football coach Louis.

Viewers were thrilled to see a royal-family-themed panel, with one writing: "Well done The Chase for the contestants' names today. George, Charlotte, Louis and Archie. Take it it’s the royal grandchildren episode."

A second shared: "nice to see The Queens great grandchildren on the show tonight."

A third posted: "All the Royal grandkids!"

A fourth hilariously commented : "Today’s contestants: George, Charlotte, Louis and Archie…are you kidding me."

"Blimey, the children of the Royal Family have all grown up already," joked another.

Unfortunately, George failed to make it back to the final chase.

The remaining three contestants racked up £12,000 total – but despite their lead of 17, Anne managed to catch them with 30 seconds to spare.
