The launch of the first ever hotly anticipated UK version of The Masked Dancer has been revealed along with the vibrant group of costumed characters.
The series will feature 12 costumed celebrities in unusual get-ups flaunting their footwork for a panel of judges who will try to guess which famous name is inside.
The outfits are as zany and unique as we’ve grown accustomed to enjoying in The Masked Singer, including a Carwash, Rubber Chicken, Zip, Beetroot and Knickerbocker Glory.
Returning judges Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall will be joined by Strictly Come Dancing legend Oti Mabuse, who’s stepping in for Rita Ora, alongside Mo Gilligan who replaced Community comedian and actor Ken Jeong on The Masked Singer.
Oti Mabuse, 30, has been wowing audiences with her fancy footwork in Strictly Come Dancing from 2015 to 2021.
Mo Gilligan, 33, is a comedian best known for hosting The Big Narstie Show on Channel 4 from 2018, after finding success uploading comedy content to YouTube.
British comedian Joel Dommett is on hand as host.
The Masked Dancer is set to follow the massive success of The Masked Singer UK which has featured jaw-dropping and unforgettable performances from a variety of household names.
The idea originated as a spin-off on US TV screens in December 2020.
Joss Stone won the last series with her costume The Sausage, performing classic belters like I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston.
