The Repair Shop: Julie finds strange item in teddy bear
The Repair Shop expert Dominic Chinea panicked when a barber chair he was restoring was still covered in human hair on Wednesday’s classic instalment of the BBC programme.
A guest called Joe entered the BBC famous barn with his late father Bill’s barbershop chair which had fallen into disrepair.
Bill bought the chair for his barbershop in 1963 and it has played an enduring part in the family business ever since.
Joe and his daughter Sophie were hoping Jay Blades and his team of experts could restore the chair so it could be used in her shop for years to come.
Joe said: “There is not a day which goes by where I don’t think of my father, I worked with him most of my life.”

The chair broke while being transported between shops and expert Dominic was on the case to bring it back up to scratch.
However, when he was dismantling the chair, he was left with quite a shock which caused him to panic.
Dominic said: “Oh this poor chair has definitely seen better days.”
As he removed the seat, he scrunched up his face when he found clumps of old human hair, telling the camera: “Oh, this chair is absolutely full of hair! Oh my goodness!”

Elsewhere in the episode, Sophie said she learned to cut hair on the chair when she was younger.
“I could not reach and I had to stand on the Yellow Pages to reach and cut hair,” she explained.
Sophie has her own shop now which her father Joe often helps her out with, but he joked to the experts: “She bosses me about!”
They returned to the famous barn later on in the episode to be reunited with the renovated barber chair.
Sophie and Joe were thrilled by the repair and quickly tested out the chair to see how it felt now it had been fixed.
Joe emotionally said: “I feel proud. Proud of my dad, proud of my daughter.
“When you do things like this it is fantastic because it brings the chair back to life and it brings people back to life, doesn’t it?”
