Brian Miller has supported Carol Burnett

Carol Burnett married a much younger man in 2001, and according to Deseret, they kept things on the down-low. Miller, who is 23 years younger than his wife, was a drummer for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Pantages Theater Orchestra at the time that they tied the knot. People reported they wed just two months before the death of her daughter, Carrie Hamilton. Burnett leaned on her new husband for support during that tragic period of her life.

In an interview with People, she gushed about her spouse and revealed, “He’s funny and not easily intimidated.” Both are very important qualities for someone married to an icon like Burnett. She also thought that their huge age gap worked to their advantage. “As we get older, the gap between our ages narrows,” she claimed, before adding, ” If you were 40 and married a 20-year-old, I don’t think you could communicate like [we do].” Whatever their secret to a happy marriage is, it certainly works for them.

Miller is also standing by his wife after she won temporary custody of her 14-year-old grandson, Dylan West, in 2020. According to USA Today, she petitioned the court for custody because her daughter, Erin Hamilton, struggled with substance use. Here’s to many more happy years for the couple!
