The Voice judge Anne-Marie axed from show following Olly Murs exit

Anne-Marie shares anxiety battle in candid The Voice moment

Anne-Marie has reportedly been axed as a judge from The Voice.

The 32-year-old singer joined the ITV judging panel in January 2021 alongside Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and will.i.am.

A source claimed: “Anne-Marie has loved being part of the show but producers want to give the series a refresh.”

Speaking to The Sun, they continued: “ITV wants to ensure that the show pulls in teens, so they are always looking at who is hot in the music world.”

When approached by Express.co.uk, ITV confirmed Anne-Marie will be appearing in the upcoming series in November, but didn’t include further details.

A spokesperson from the channel stated: “The Voice UK returns to ITV1 and ITVX for a brand new series on Saturday November 4 at 8.25pm featuring coaches will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Anne-Marie and Olly Murs.

“Details of the 2024 series will be confirmed in due course.”

However, earlier this month singer Oly Murs announced he had been axed from the singing competition.

When the news of his departure first came out Olly revealed he was “gutted and shocked” by the show bosses’ decision.

He told the aforementioned publication: “I’m gutted. I got the call last week to say I won’t be back on the show, and it’s a bit of a shock, to be honest. I didn’t really expect that to come.

“I don’t want to bulls**t my fans or bulls**t people who watch the show, and say, ‘Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave’.

“I’ve got lots of things on next year, I can’t do it anymore. Did I want to leave? No.

“Will I still watch the show? Of course, but it’ll be sore thinking that could have been me.”

It has also been reported long-term judges Tom and will.i.am are expected to be back for the next series.

The pair have been judges since the UK version of the show first hit screens back in 2012.

The Voice is returning to ITV on  Saturday, November 4 at 8.25pm.
