AFTER swapping the Love Island villa for vinyl, Wes Nelson's music career goes from strength to strength.
Following debut hit See Nobody with Hardy Caprio, which peaked at No3, Wes is lining up a new release.
Asked about it in a new interview, he teased: “My new single is coming out very, very soon. It’s going to be a good year of music.”
Wes will also perform a set on Top Of The Pops on Thursday, becoming the first Love Islander to appear on the show.
But speaking on the Daze podcast, out this week, he admitted he avoided music at school because he was too shy to show his talent.
He said: “I wasn’t confident enough then.
"I used to envy the music class, seeing them playing and singing, and wished I could do it. I was too scared to get judged.
“If I could go back now and do it, I would.
“The first time I sang outside my shower, in front of my parents, or anyone, was on The X Factor: Celebrity [last year] in front of millions. That threw me in the deep end.
“Then as soon as I’d done that, it was like a switch had gone off in my head.”
