Seal Team is an action-fiction series that focuses on the lives of an elite unit of Navy SEALs as they tackle some of the most dangerous high-stakes missions. But when they’re not risking their lives at work, they are trying to balance their personal lives, tending to their families which are often strained by the job. Season four came to a dramatic conclusion on CBS last month when the finale aired.

When will SEAL Team be moved to Paramount Plus?

For the previous four seasons, SEAL Team has been shown on CBS, airing weekly episodes.

Earlier this year, the network announced that the show would be back for a fifth season.

However, unlike its past series, season five isn’t going to be shown entirely on CBS.

Just as the show will start to get back into the swing of things, it is going to switch platforms.

Actor AJ Buckley who plays Sonny Quinn took to Instagram to reveal the plan for the drama.

He wrote: “It’s official!!! We are back for Season 5 of @sealteamcbs !!! We will be moving to @paramountplus.”

The first four episodes are going to be airing on CBS like normal before it changes over to the streaming service which belongs to ViacomCBS.

A release date has also been announced which gives an insight into when they can expect the change to take place.

Season five of SEAL Team will begin on Sunday, October 10, on CBS.

Assuming there will be no breaks in between the first four episodes, then SEAL Team could be on Paramount+ by Sunday, November 7.

So far, it is unclear if the rest of the series is going to be released at the same time or episodes coming out weekly on the streaming service.

The drama isn’t the only show to make the move from CBS either.

SEAL Team will be joined by thriller Evil as it also heads to the streaming service.

The show is in the middle of its second season and has gone on a mini-hiatus but when it does return, it will be on Paramount+.

Clarice, the FBI spin-off series to The Silence of the Lambs is also going to be making the move this fall.

So it looks like there will be quite a few of CBS’ most popular content added to Paramount+.

The streaming service costs $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year if you pay all at once.

President & CEO of the CBS Entertainment Group George Cheeks said: “Our Studio and Network have a strong track record of developing high-quality dramas that have multiplatform success, and these series speak to that strength.

“These moves mark another example of how our linear and streaming ecosystem can strategically work together to maximize value for the content and benefit the series and its creators.”

SEAL Team is available to watch on CBS.
