The Rolling Stones have revealed details of their first album of original songs since 2005 and how late drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021, is involved.<\/p>\n
In a Hackney event on Wednesday, the rockers revealed their new LP Hackney Diamonds will be released on October 20, and it will also include appearances from Lady Gaga and original member Bill Wyman. <\/p>\n
At the event they also presented their new single, Angry, and dropped the music video featuring actor Sydney Sweeney, 25. <\/p>\n
Remaining band members Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood were interviewed by US talk show icon Jimmy Fallon in a live-streamed event from the north London location.<\/p>\n
Their last new material album 18 years ago was A Bigger Band, and their last cover album was Blue & Lonesome. <\/p>\n
It is the first album since the death of the Rolling Stones\u2019 long-time drummer Watts two years ago.<\/p>\n

To get the latest news from the capital visit Metro.co.uk’s <\/strong>visit\u00a0Metro’s London news hub.<\/em><\/p>\n Sir Mick revealed two songs \u2013 Mess It Up and Live By The Sword \u2013 from the 12-track album include Watts, who recorded them in 2019 two years before his death. <\/p>\n Keith paid tribute to Watts during the interview, as he said: \u2018Ever since Charlie is gone it\u2019s different, he\u2019s number four.<\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s missing, of course he\u2019s missed incredibly.\u2019 <\/p>\n He also revealed that Watts told them before he died that if \u2018anything ever to happen to him\u2019 then \u2018Steve Jordan\u2019s your man\u2019 to be their replacement drummer.<\/p>\n \u2018It was a natural progression,\u2019 added Keith of Steve, who has toured with the Stones since Watts\u2019 death at festivals like BST Hyde Park. <\/p>\n \u2018Thanks to Charlie we have Steve Jordanwho was his recommendation if anything should happen to him,\u2019 he said. <\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s been a friend of ours so he was a natural progression, it would have been a lot harder without Charlie\u2019s blessing.\u2019<\/p>\n
