Linda Nolan has heartbreakingly opened up about her battle with incurable cancer, as she says that the disease has now become a "way of life" for her.

The singer and TV star, 64, was first diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer in 2005, before getting the all-clear a year later. However, in 2017, she discovered that cancer had been found in her hip, which then spread to her liver in 2020.

And earlier this year, Linda heartbreakingly shared that the cancer had spread to her brain, with two tumours being discovered on the left side of her brain.

Now Linda has given a health update, revealing that while her tumours have become stable, she knows she won't survive the disease a third time.

Writing in her Mirror column, Linda said: "My tumours are stable and haven’t got any bigger. The chemo is keeping them at bay for now. So, we carry on. Every three weeks, for as long as I can tolerate it."

Describing how cancer, and her treatment, is a part of her life now, she continued: "I went off to have my sixth cycle then. It’s become a way of life now."

After praising her nurses, Linda discussed watching other cancer patients finish their treatments, as she wrote: "And I people-watch, listen to the bleeps and the clapping when those finishing treatment ring the bell. That’s lovely, I’m always happy for them, but I rang that bell twice. And I know now I won’t be ringing it again."

Linda previously opened up to OK! about living with cancer, telling us: "I think anyone in this situation will tell you that you really don’t have a choice. You do have a choice – you could do it all with a terrible, negative outlook and it just makes everything worse.

"And you’re still going to have to go through the same thing anyway. So like I say, I’m living with cancer, I’m not dying from it."

Linda's third cancer diagnosis came six years after her older sister Anne’s and four years before sister Bernie’s.

Bernie tragically died from the disease in 2013, aged just 52, while Anne, 72, has since received the all-clear. Linda is still continuing her cancer journey and takes each day in her stride.

In March Linda appeared on Good Morning Britain where she confirmed that the cancer had spread to her brain.

In a brave statement, she said: "I've always been open about my treatments and what's happening in my life. I just want to tell you, from me, that unfortunately and sadly for me my cancer has now spread to my brain, which I only found out on Monday.

"That's obviously very frightening because there isn't much help for brain cancer at the moment apart from radiotherapy, which I am going to be having. But there is a new drug, which has been in use for a year, for brain cancer, and we're going to try me on that as a chemo drug with some other treatments."

She added: "I've always been honest and I just wanted people to know that's the situation and I'm not giving up, I'm positive. I'm going to lose my hair, again, for the fourth time. My sister said: 'At least you've got some nice wigs now.'

"I've moved back in with my sister to live, I was having falls, the cancer in my brain was affecting my balance and I had three quite nasty falls. So, as usual, my amazing family – I'm back living with my sister Denise and her partner. Maureen has been looking after me for the past few weeks."
