Krishnan Guru-Murthy revealed he had already sought medical treatment weeks before the show.<\/p>\n
The Channel 4 newsreader spoke candidly about his dance training ahead of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and cheekily admitted he has already been to visit a physiotherapist.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press about pre-show injuries, Krishnan chuckled: “I’ve already been to see the physiotherapist but that’s just because I wake up with a sore back anyway.”<\/p>\n
The 53-year-old went on to share that his dance partner – which has not yet been revealed to the public – issued him a stark warning during their training.<\/p>\n
The broadcaster said they urged him to not think while dancing on the show or otherwise he may not sail through the competition.<\/p>\n

The news has been through a very, very grim period during the pandemic political chaos. And I genuinely thought it would be great to have some more joy. And [Strictly] is just fun, laughter and joy.<\/p>\n “Learning something new that kind of takes your mind totally away from everything else. I kind of suddenly thought you were an idiot. Why aren’t you doing this? This is great,” he added.<\/p>\n The Strictly line-up has already been confirmed as the celebrities prepare to pair up with their professional partners and the official start date has finally been confirmed, with the launch show airing at 6:35pm on September 16 on BBC One.<\/p>\n
