HISTORY repeated itself when Mackenzie Boyd slept with Charity Dingle behind Chloe Harris' back. <\/p>\n

Tensions grow in Emmerdale next week when Chloe finds out what went on and hatches an explosive plan for revenge on the pair. <\/p>\n

ITV viewers are at the edge of their seats as they wait to see who out of Charity Dingle and Chloe Harris will be chosen by Mackenzie Boyd. <\/p>\n

The heartthrob portrayed by Lawrence Robb recently slept with his former wife despite being in a committed relationship with the mother of his child. <\/p>\n

Charity (played by Emma Atkins) has had trouble seeing him move on swiftly from their ill-fated marriage to form a family with Chloe (Jessie Elland), a woman he cheated on her with. <\/p>\n

As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based program will remember, the one-night stand led to the birth of baby Reuben and the breakdown of Charity and Mack's marriage. <\/p>\n

Coming up next week, Mackenzie and Chloe are preparing to leave for a holiday break in Scotland – with the hope of moving there permanently soon. <\/p>\n

But unbeknownst to Mack, Chloe\u2019s sick with betrayal after having heard an unexpected conversation between Charity and Mackenzie.<\/p>\n

However, when Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) shares how she managed to forgive Nate\u2019s cheating she\u2019s left optimistic she can forgive Mackenzie. <\/p>\n

Chloe\u2019s happily reassured when later Mackenzie tells her he loves her.<\/p>\n

Later on, Mackenzie makes peace with Charity, accepting that their relationship is really over. <\/p>\n

Mackenzie kisses Charity on the forehead but as they pull away from a tender hug, Chloe witnesses the moment and jumps to conclusions.<\/p>\n

Chloe approaches them both and asks what's going on and Mackenzie makes his excuses. <\/p>\n

The fiery redhead feigns ignorance but once alone, her smile turns to a look of pure hatred.<\/p>\n

Chloe and Mack drop off Reuben with Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).<\/p>\n

With a withdrawn Chloe driving, Mackenzie\u2019s blissfully oblivious to her fractured state of mind. <\/p>\n

Soon the pair are shocked to find Charity broken down at the side of the road, and with mischief on her mind, Chloe offers her a lift. <\/p>\n

  In the car, the tension could be cut with a knife as Chloe intentionally misses their turn and heads towards the moors with a plan to abandon Charity and Mackenzie somewhere remote.<\/p>\n

  Charity\u2019s concerned they\u2019re now in the middle of nowhere and having had enough of Chloe\u2019s attempts to push her buttons, she demands she pulls over. <\/p>\n

  But as Mackenzie fears fireworks, knowing Chloe may have figured out what he has done, a car smashes into them. <\/p>\n
