Lil Nas X has been slammed his for his Halloween outfit this year after dressing up in a very bizarre costume.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0rapper, 24, chose to dress up as a used tampon for the spooky holiday as he headed out with pals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But some have not reacted well to the choice and have taken to social media to criticise him for ‘making light’ of issues that impact women.<\/p>\n
One said: ‘lil nas x dressing up as a bloody tampon is the most annoying thing I’ve seen tonight. he does nothing except romanticize things that give women pain.’<\/p>\n
Another said: ‘Gay men often think they can get a pass without realizing they can be equally misogynistic\u2026it’s not up to cis men to make light of things like this.’<\/p>\n

It comes after last month the star\u00a0was forced to arrive late to the premiere of his documentary, Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero, due to an alleged ‘bomb threat’ during the Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n
The special screening at the event was intended to take place at 10:00p.m. local time, and the music artist’s co-directors Carlos Lopez Estrada and Zac Manuel, as well as editor Andrew Morrow, had already arrived to the red carpet shortly before.<\/p>\n
However, just as the rapper arrived to the premiere, organizers were made aware of a phoned-in bomb threat that targeted the Grammy winner ‘for being a Black queer artist,’ a source claimed to\u00a0Variety – which first reported the alleged incident.<\/p>\n

The star’s arrival on the red carpet was reportedly delayed by 20 minutes as TIFF security searched the Roy Thomson Hall theater where the premiere was held – but concluded that there was ‘not a credible threat.’<\/p>\n
The Old Town Road hitmaker was soon able to join the others on the red carpet, with the screening kicking off 30 minutes late, reported the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘This diaristic film is an intimate portrait of an artist navigating identity, family, expectations and acceptance,’ the description continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Shortly before the official premiere of the film, Lil Nas X opened up to Variety about the documentary and expressed the impact he hopes the project will have.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I know in my lifetime, while I’m here, I’m going to do my best to make the ceiling unreachable to where we can go as Black queer people,’ he expressed. ‘And I mean unreachable as, like, it can go above and beyond.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
The performer – who publicly came out as a gay in June 2019 – continued, ‘I feel like we live in a generation where Black queer people really control culture, and they’re helping really take the world to the next level.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
He also expressed how he felt to step into the film industry, such as attending a red carpet premiere.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘I mean, I’m excited to go there and to see what people think, and also, I’ve never been to a film festival, so maybe I’ll meet people and and build some future relationships,’ the Industry Baby singer stated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
