A\u00a0beauty influencer\u00a0in her 40s has claimed that a simple\u00a0make-up trick is the secret to her exceptionally young looks, as revealed in a TikTok clip.<\/p>\n

Addressing her audience in a video that amassed upwards of 5,000 likes, @40slifelou asked: \u201cUnderpainting make-up for over 40s. Is it a yes or is it a no?\u201d<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old went on to admit that she was recently showered with compliments during school after putting the make-up hack to the test.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust a disclaimer, when you do use this technique, I can look a little bit alarming during the process – but you have to trust it because it\u2019s amazing,” she disclosed.<\/p>\n

During a demonstration of the technique, Lou started by applying primer, followed by a cream contour around her hairline, cheekbones, nose and jawline.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cThe key tip with this is to pat, not to blend as such, in the circular motions – just pat it into the skin.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the beauty influencer, the key to natural-looking is a patting motion and it gives makeup the seamless finish that is so widely sought after.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt takes a little bit of extra time, but it is all worth it,\u201d she added, before moving on to a heavily pigmented blush.<\/p>\n

Next on the list of products is a conceal with great coverage, applied under the eyes and at the centre of the forehead as well as underneath the contour line.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy face is starting to look slightly more normal,\u201d the TikToker disclosed as she finished the look. \u201cThat looks absolutely beautiful.”<\/p>\n
