In October, Sampha returned with his first album in six years, LAHAI<\/em>. The follow-up to his debut Process<\/em>, which has won him the Mercury prize, LAHAI was an exploration of human connection and relationships, a far cry from the solitary themes of its predecessor. It also touches on his experience of becoming a father and the growing importance of family.<\/p>\n The London-based singer-songwriter has now shared a music video for the track \u201cCan\u2019t Go Back.\u201d<\/p>\n In the visual, Sampha uses a black-and-white color palette, flicking through different camera pans, from shots of himself and his friends to birds flying.<\/p>\n Spirit been looking for some evidence \/ Lord knows my daughter here, she’s Heaven sent,\u201d he sings. \u201cYeah, I’ve had some joys and had many wins \/ Still look in the mirror like I found a twin.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer celebrated the album\u2019s release with a string of sold-out shows across Europe and North America. He\u2019ll be heading on a more full-fledged tour in 2024, kicking off with Mexico City\u2019s Ceremonia Festival on March 23. Over the next month, Sampha will make stops in Miami, Nashville, Boston, Columbus, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, London and more.<\/p>\n Watch the new music video for Sampha\u2019s \u201cCan\u2019t Go Back\u201d above.
