Jorgie Porter has opened up about feeling terrified during a recent attempted burglary at her home.
The Hollyoaks actor, 35, who was inside the property at the time, with her fiancé Oliver Piotrowski and their son Forest, took to Instagram to share the scary experience with her fans.
Posting a video to her Instagram Story, Jorgie began: "I'm really upset and really scared and angry that our house was almost robbed last night. People tried to get in.
"They came over the gate. Obviously it's been planned because all the cables have been cut. The Wifi has been cut in the area. Our alarm was taken off the wall. They've really planned it. Sick."
She continued: "It's really scary I want to say thank you to the police for turning up really quickly last night – and how many there were. It actually made us feel a little bit safe.
"I'm just so angry. Why would people want to come – it's just so upsetting. I hope nobody is put in this position because it's really horrible."
The soap star finished: "I hope they just get what's coming to them."
Jorgie, who plays Theresa McQueen in popular Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, lives in Chesire with her fiancé and their baby son, whom they welcomed back in November.
Following the tot's birth, the couple announced the news with a sweet photo of Jorgie and Ollie leaving hospital with their bundle of joy as she announced his unique name.
She wrote in the caption: "Welcome to the family…. Our baby boy .. Forest."
Since Forest's birth, Jorgie has been praised for showing the messy reality of new parent life after she shared a photo of her son's nursery strewn with clothes, books and blankets.
She captioned the photo: "My insta was looking a little too perfect. So here’s a dose of reality. Back from holiday with a bang!"
The couple welcomed their first child together following tragedy after Jorgie lost quadruplets 14 weeks into her pregnancy back in 2021.
She has since opened up to OK! about this tragic loss, recently telling us: "I think going through loss changes how you feel. Having been through miscarriage, I’m so grateful to be a mum and it makes me appreciate having Forest even more because I know how fragile things can be.”
This fragility has found its way into Jorgie’s parenting style too, with the soap star admitting that she thought she’d be “way more chilled” than she is.
“I’d wrap Forest up in cotton wool if I could. I think it’s due to the fact I’ve lost before,” Jorgie explains. “When other people are with Forest, I’m the kind of parent who’ll say, ‘Don’t worry, let me sort it,’ rather than letting them take over. I’m starting to get more relaxed but at the beginning I was like, ‘He’s precious, don’t touch him.’”
