Chronoswiss has revealed the Space Timer Black Hole, its latest time-telling novelty that embraces a dark and cosmic dial design.
Back in spring, Chronoswiss cooked up a storm with its Open Gear ReSec Hurricane limited-edition reference, which depicted a tempestuous dial featuring high-frequency guilloché. Similarly, the Space Timer Black Hole presents a mesmerizing dial that illustrates a wondrous backdrop capturing a black hole in the midst of engulfing galaxies.
Handcrafted in the brand’s Lucerne atelier, a guilloché disc portrays the black hole between the 8 and 9 o’clock marks, while partly skeletonized hour and date displays are reminiscent of cosmic bodies, perched on the polar ends of the dial. The captivating dial is framed inside a 44mm DLC-coated case, which comes accompanied with an onion crown, and neoprene-coated calf leather strap.
On a technical note, the watch runs on the watchmaker’s own C.308 caliber, an automatic movement that offers around 42 hours of power reserve, while beating at a rate of 28,800vph. Available in 50 examples, the Space Timer Black Hole comes with a price point of $19,600 USD. To read more about the timepiece, head over to Chronoswiss’ official website.
Elsewhere in watches, Blancpain unveils its third and final Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary limited-edition.
