Priscilla Presley’s Attempt To Dispel This Decades-Old Claim About Relationship With Elvis Has Left the Internet Ablaze

Within the past few years, Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley’s romance back in the 1960s and 1970s has been under the microscope. Thanks to the Oscar-nominated film Elvis in 2022 and the upcoming film entitled Priscilla, people have been trying to piece together anything and everything about the controversial romance. And with the release of Priscilla at the Venice Film Festival, it seems Priscilla is trying to dispel a decades-old rumor about her and Elvis’ relationship.

“People think, ‘Oh, it was sex, it was this.’ Not at all. I never had sex with him. He was very kind, very soft, very loving. But he also respected the fact I was only 14 years old. We were more in mind and thought, and that was our relationship,” Priscilla said in a clip obtained by TMZ.

She doubled down on this, saying, “I was the person who really sat there to listen and to comfort him,” she explains. “That was really our connection. Even though I was 14, I was actually a little bit older in life, not in numbers, and that was the attraction.”

Now, when news of this statement came out, Twitter fell into a hellscape. One Twitter user was quick to call out the age difference, saying, “how did he respect her for being 14 while being 24?? the math is not mathing.”

And another user added to that, saying, “‘He also respected the fact I was only 14 years old’ Respecting this fact would mean staying far away from her lmao.”

For those who don’t know, Priscilla and Elvis met back in 1959 when she was 14 and he was 24. They began a relationship, but over the years, and including in her memoir Elvis and Me, Priscilla insists they never had sex until their wedding night on May 1, 1967. In the memoir, she said he said things like “We have plenty of time, Little One.”
