Five Guys Announces BOGO Promotion
Five Guys is offering a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) burger promotion from March 9 to March 12, 2026, across the United States and Canada. This initiative comes in response to the overwhelming demand seen during a similar promotion for the company’s 40th birthday.
The initial BOGO offer, launched on February 17, 2026, led to chaos at many locations, with some running out of stock and customers facing long wait times. “We screwed the first one up so bad, we’re trying to redo it,” said Jerry Murrell, co-founder of Five Guys.
In light of the challenges faced during the previous promotion, Five Guys plans to distribute approximately $1.5 million in bonuses to store employees. “Our employees took the brunt of the thing,” Murrell added, acknowledging the strain placed on staff during the busy period.
Customers can redeem the BOGO offer by ordering online at FiveGuys.com or through the Five Guys app using the code FGAFTERPARTY. However, the offer is limited to one redemption per reward code, per transaction, and per account, and is not valid for in-store orders.
Five Guys, founded in 1986 by Jerry and Janie Murrell, has grown to nearly 2,000 locations in over 25 countries. The company has expressed gratitude for the customer response, with Murrell stating, “We were genuinely humbled by your response.”
As the new promotion approaches, observers are keen to see how the company manages the logistics and customer demand this time around. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional measures that may be implemented to ensure a smoother experience for customers and employees alike.
