Rockstar Games confirmed a data breach occurred recently. The attackers, known as ShinyHunters, are demanding a ransom to prevent further leaks.
The ransom note from ShinyHunters has a deadline of April 14. Rockstar stated that the breach involved a limited amount of non-material company information.
Yet, the breach could potentially leak financial data related to GTA 6. “We can confirm that a limited amount of non-material company information was accessed in connection with a third-party data breach,” Rockstar said.
Fans have been waiting for more details about GTA 6 for years. They are particularly eager for the release of the third trailer.
This anticipation is heightened by the fact that the game’s tree count alone rivals that of other popular titles. “This shot alone has a third part of the total amount of trees in Skyrim, which is full of trees actually,” one fan noted.
