Mara Flavia Souza Araujo, a Brazilian fitness influencer and experienced triathlete, tragically drowned during the Ironman Texas event on April 20, 2026. She was 38 years old.
At approximately 7:30 am, race officials reported her as a “lost swimmer.” Her body was discovered about 90 minutes later in 10 feet of water. Safety crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
