The animated movie ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ centers on a South Korean pop girl group, Huntr/X, that battles demons through music. The film has gained significant popularity, culminating in two Oscar wins and a hit soundtrack, which has contributed to a passionate global fandom.
In a new collaboration, McDonald’s will offer two meals inspired by the film starting March 31, 2026. The first, the Huntr/X Meal, includes a 10-piece order of Chicken McNuggets, a medium soft drink, and Ramyeon McShaker Fries, which feature a unique soy, garlic, sesame, and spice seasoning.
The second option, the Saja Boys Breakfast Meal, consists of a Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Hash Browns, and a small soft drink, enhanced by a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce.
Each meal will come with a collectible card pack that includes a photocard and a Derpy the Tiger access card. Fans can scan a QR code on the access card to unlock exclusive content via the McDonald’s app.
Marian Lee, a representative involved in the project, stated, “With McDonald’s, we were able to turn the rivalry between The Saja Boys and Huntr/X into something fans can actually experience.” This partnership aims to deepen the connection between fans and the worlds they love.
Alyssa Buetikofer, another spokesperson, emphasized, “Everything we do at McDonald’s is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and KPop Demon Hunters.” She added that the collaboration is a natural fit, as it brings together two massive fandoms.
The meals are inspired by South Korean flavors and food traditions, with the Huntr/X Meal featuring the Hunter Sauce, a sweet chili sauce, and the Demon Sauce, a bold mustard sauce.
As excitement builds for the launch, observers note that this collaboration could set a precedent for future partnerships between fast food brands and entertainment franchises.
