“As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday,” said Steve Leatham. MSC Cruises is introducing Europe’s first over-water swing ride as part of a massive open-air theme park aboard its new flagship, MSC World Asia. The ship is scheduled to debut in December 2026.
Key features of the theme park:
- The theme park will feature the ‘Cliffhanger,’ Europe’s first over-water swing ride.
- The Harbour area will include a ropes course, waterslides, and the longest dry slide at sea.
- The Family Aventura District will have a 10,000-square-foot kids club and an interactive digital arena.
The cruise industry is increasingly resembling floating resorts. MSC World Asia will operate seven-night Mediterranean itineraries with stops in Barcelona, Naples, and Rome. MSC Cruises currently operates 23 ships and aims to enhance family activities through immersive experiences.
The outdoor park reflects a growing trend in the cruise industry toward all-ages entertainment options. Families can look forward to various amusement rides and activities designed for everyone.
