“I thought it was so difficult to win last year because of trying to win the Masters and the Grand Slam, and then this year I realized it’s just really difficult to win the Masters,” said Rory McIlroy after securing his second Masters title at Augusta National Golf Club on April 12, 2026.
McIlroy finished the tournament with a score of 12 under par, one shot better than his victory in 2025. This win not only marks his second Masters title but also ties him with Nick Faldo for the most major championships won by a European golfer, bringing his total to six.
