Wisconsin’s loss marked the end of their regular season, while Michigan celebrated a sweep over their rival in their finale. The Wisconsin softball team dropped its regular season finale against Rutgers 16-2.

Wisconsin finished with a 14-10 conference record, their third-most victories in program history. Rutgers scored nine runs in the third inning against Wisconsin, tying a program record for most allowed in that frame.

The Badgers celebrated seniors as each athlete played their final game at Goodman Diamond. Their overall record stands at 30-18.

In contrast, the Michigan softball team won its regular season finale against Michigan State 3-1. Gabby Ellis of Michigan allowed no earned runs and just one hit in her complete-game win.

Michigan’s overall record now stands at 33-19, with an 11-13 conference record. They are the two-time defending Big Ten Tournament champion.

The Princeton baseball team also faced defeat, losing its season finale against Harvard 11-6. Harvard took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning.

Princeton’s Will Robbins had a two-run single in the sixth inning against Harvard. The loss left Princeton with a disappointing end to their season.

Looking ahead, Wisconsin will travel to the Big Ten Tournament in College Park, Maryland, beginning on May 6. The tournament will be crucial for both teams as they aim for success in the upcoming championships.
