“Weezer will perform at Little Caesars Arena on Sept. 23, promoters announced Thursday.” This announcement marks the beginning of an exciting fall for the band as they embark on their North American tour, titled ‘The Gathering’.
The tour will feature special guests The Shins and Silversun Pickups, and will cover 32 cities across the United States and Canada. Tickets for the tour will be available to the general public starting April 3, 2026.
In addition to the concert in Detroit, Weezer will celebrate significant milestones during the tour, coinciding with multiple album anniversaries. Notably, it aligns with the 30th anniversary of their album ‘Pinkerton’, the 25th anniversary of ‘The Green Album’, and the 10-year anniversary of ‘The White Album’. Furthermore, both ‘OK Human’ and ‘Van Weezer’ will mark their 5-year anniversaries.
Weezer’s last full-length album, ‘Van Weezer’, was released in 2021, and since then, the band has been active in the studio, releasing a series of four EPs inspired by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
The tour is not celebrating any album anniversaries per se, but it comes on the 30th anniversary of the band’s album ‘Pinkerton’, which adds a layer of significance to the events planned.
As the tour date approaches, anticipation continues to build among fans eager to see Weezer perform live once again. The combination of new music and classic hits promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding additional tour stops and special appearances, but the current lineup and schedule have already generated considerable buzz.
