In early January 2027, Bandai Namco announced the release of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. This new installment will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The game is set in a new world called AGE 1000. Players will explore this universe alongside redesigned characters. Bulma returns as an older version of herself, while a new character named Brett joins the adventure.
Players can explore West City and uncover fresh stories. The game promises an epic story-driven RPG experience that aims to engage fans of the franchise.
This announcement ends a gap of more than a decade between new Xenoverse games. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was released in October 2016.
Akira Toriyama contributed to the design of the game’s world and characters. His artistic input adds depth to this new installment. This is likely the last video game to feature his contributions, as he passed away in March 2024.
In this sequel, players will have the option to create male and female characters designed by Toriyama himself. The development team described the game as a completely new Dragon Ball experience.
“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is a completely new Dragon Ball experience, where you decide the hero you want to be in an unexplored Dragon Ball world,” said a spokesperson during the announcement.
Guided into the ranks of the Great Saiyan Squad, players will fight alongside allies as events unfold. This setup promises to deliver an unforgettable, action-packed journey into this new universe.
More information about the game will be shared in the coming months. Details remain unconfirmed about specific gameplay mechanics or additional features.
